5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource for young kids and anyone new to hikingReviewed in the United States on April 12, 2021
Great book that covers so many trails all over the Mt Hood area. I’ve been hiking Mt Hood for 20+ years and still discovered many new hikes and learned some new things about my favorites. I love how the author includes teaching moments about the area and nature with every hike. If you have young kids or are new to hiking (all hikes are 1-4 miles), I highly recommend it!

This guide is extremely thorough and detailed! We’ve been looking for a comprehensive guide to hikes around Mt. Hood for a long time so I’m very excited this exists now.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book!Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2018
I love that there are many different levels of hikes in the book and it’s descriptive! It gives great detail on how to get into the places especially because some of the hikes around here aren’t as easily figured out even by locals!
Another thing I love is the inclusion of whether they were dog friendly hikes and reasons why or why not!
Most of all I love that it is perfect for moms of all walks of life!!! From homeschool moms to working moms!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for building hiking skills and a love of nature in kids

This book is really an amazing tool for families with young kids. I know as an adult, there are lots of hikes that I want to try out. However, it’s hard to know what’s safe for my little kids when I haven’t been able to check out the hike on my own yet. This book does all that leg work for you! There were so many hikes right here in my area that I had never heard of, but there were also tips for how to make more advanced hikes kid friendly. I feel like this will be my family’s bucket list hike guide from now on!
